The Erasmus+ program supports and enables international exchanges and cooperation within the European Union. It allows not only students but also teachers to travel abroad for study, internships, or other activities, thereby fostering and developing language skills and cultural understanding.
During the summer holidays, I had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, specifically to the city of Galway on the west coast. The focus of my one-week course was the English language and Irish culture. From Monday to Friday, I attended the Atlantic Centre of Education, where together we explored Irish customs, history, traditions, and, of course, traditional Irish music. Music was omnipresent in the city as well, since the international Arts Festival was taking place at the same time. Traditional Irish music is lively, rhythmic, and melodic. It is closely linked with Irish culture, dance, and the indescribable atmosphere of Irish pubs, which are plentiful in every town, many of them featuring live music for several hours each day.
I am grateful for the opportunity to travel in this way. I truly value our Art School for being one of the few Primary Art Schools involved in the Erasmus+ program. I believe it is important to keep learning, discovering, meeting others, overcoming one’s limits, and traveling…
