Invited expert in Zagreb

Together with my colleagues and twenty students – members of the Rubínek Children's Choir – I spent a wonderful week full of experiences and new insights, from March 30 to April 4, in Zagreb, Croatia.

Our students and my colleagues participated in a mobility within the framework of our school’s Erasmus+ project, while I, for the first time, took part as an invited expert within the Erasmus+ project of the Croatian school.

Thanks to this new role, I had the opportunity to give lectures to colleagues at the Ivan Zajc School of Music (OGŠ Ivana Zajca). I introduced them to the system of arts education in the Czech Republic and shared my artistic experience and skills. At the request of my Croatian hosts, I also prepared a short program with the school’s string orchestra, which was performed at a festive concert during the mobility. The time spent with those young musicians was deeply fulfilling for me. The preparedness and musical level of the Zagreb students were truly exceptional. Their enthusiasm and passion for music were remarkable – many of our own students could take inspiration from them.

I returned home enriched with a wealth of new experiences and knowledge. The incredibly friendly atmosphere at the Ivan Zajc School of Music was truly energizing.

I am very grateful for this experience, which would not have been possible without the dedicated work of my colleagues – especially the Erasmus+ project coordinator, Filip Janouch, and the school’s headmistress, Iva Vrátilová.
