Thanks to EU projects and their financial support, we had the opportunity to visit Florence, Italy, and participate in the Erasmus+ KA1 program for teaching professionals at the Pedagogical Academy.

The course was titled "The 4C: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration in Schools."

The aim of this course was to reflect on school systems, not only in our country but also in other EU states. The group consisted of participants from Greece, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Latvia, Spain, and Sweden. Differences in our educational systems varied greatly from country to country, but they were truly inspiring.

What does it mean to be a teacher? You must be kind, support the skills of your students, and most importantly, enjoy what you do. Otherwise, you can expect challenges. Who is the student for you? An individual who helps you become a great teacher, not just a pedantic manipulator. An individual who helps you grow as a teacher, not just a pedantic manager.

If you want to be a teacher, you must love your job. Be excited about the new things you can teach your students and learn from them. Both of you can benefit from this journey, so enjoy it!

We returned with lots of new information, tips, and methods. We realized that creativity is an essential part of the teaching process. Collaboration between teachers and students as a team makes a school a living organism.

Upon our return, we agreed that we would embrace this new way of thinking and actively share and apply it with our students and colleagues. We would like to proceed in this way in the educational processes in which we work.
